Our family loves camping! This weekend we went to Woods Canyon Lake between Payson & Heber, AZ with our friends, the Lyons. Unfortunately, Howie & his oldest son had the flu, so cute Shari brought her younger 2 kids solo and we made it a party! It was so great to get out of the heat of the city and into the mountains. Our campsite was right by the lake and the kids enjoyed catching crawdads and minnows with a net and Ashlyn even caught 2 fish with our new fishing pole.
Nights and early mornings were a bit chilly, but a fire helped us stay warm. We loved eating hot pancakes, S'mores, tin foil dinners & blueberry cobbler cooked in a dutch oven!

walking across the dam.
It was Claire's first camping trip, and she seemed to like everything, except that she couldn't crawl around on the ground! She was happy to play in her Pack & Play. Thankfully, she slept well at night next to me in my sleeping bag (and kept me warm too!)

I'm jealous! We are so excited to take our girls camping for their first time. Hopefully we'll be able to go next week. Sounds like you guys had a blast!!
Hi Alli! Your camping trip looked fun! We want to have Ashlyn over this week to play. We tried last week but you were gone on your fun trip. I never knew about your sweet son Chase. I am so sorry. What a great family you have and you will get to be with him forever! :)
