Corey rocks!

This afternoon, Corey picked up the Guitar Hero guitar and started singing, "You are my sunshine.....everybody now..." It was hilarious. Unfortunately, he got a little shy when I grabbed the video camera, but you'll get the idea;-) Kudos to Dan for the video editing!!!

Karate!

So, I am delving into completely new territory...my kids are taking Karate. We're doing a month-long class, twice a week with some friends from our ward. Both kids absolutely love it. I like the discipline & the "yes sir" the teacher requires after each move! It's been interesting so far, to say the least. Hi-Ya!!!

Room for baby!

Dan & I have been working hard to turn our extra bedroom into a baby's room! It's been a fun project to do together. We created the green stripes in the same color with alternating flat & semi-gloss paint and lots of painter's tape. Ashlyn's so excited to have a sister!

 

Ashlyn goes SHORT!

<----------------Ashlyn's been asking me for weeks to cut her hair. At first, I hoped she'd just forget about it. I love her long hair! When she persisted, I relented. I cut about 6 inches off, and here's the end result! She's really happy about it. Whew!

June 3rd, 2007: Mogollon Rim

*Mogollon Rim: This was the gorgeous view just over a mile from our campsite. The kids got up with the sun...about 6:30 A.M. (yawn!) so we packed up camp and rented a boat for a little tour around Woods Canyon Lake. On the way out, we stopped and took in this view! 

What a weekend!!!

Camp Cookin'

We love Dutch Oven cobbler & S'Mores when we go camping. My Mom taught us a great trick for S'Mores: Fudge Stripe cookies! We were grateful to be able to have a campfire, because there was a wildfire about 10 miles from our campsite, and many campsites had no fire policies. We all smelled like smoke, but we love it!!!

Caterpillars!!!

June 2-3rd, 2007: Camping at the Mogollon Rim. We really needed a weekend away to forget about work & pregnancy complications! This gorgeous campsite is just over 2 hours away, and it was just what our family needed. Cooler weather, fresh air, a nearby lake.....heaven! We took our tent trailer, so it was pretty comfortable. The kids were thrilled to find lots of fuzzy caterpillars around our camp! This made for hours of entertainment.

Ashlyn- soccer June 2nd, 2007

June 2nd- Ashlyn's last soccer game of the season. It was another HOT day, but she didn't seem to mind. It's been fun watching her progress. She's quite the little soccer player now!
