August 27th we had a camping-themed birthday party for Ashlyn's 10th birthday. She invited 5 friends (3 from her old school and 2 from her new one), which was an interesting mix. They made pizzas, homemade pillows, had birthday cake and watched "Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief" in a tent outside. I hope they had a good time:-) I planned a nice party, then worried the whole time about group dynamics... Funny how things are changing as Ashlyn's getting older!
They only lasted about half of the movie outside before they got cold and came inside to finish watching it inside!
The homemade pillows were a hit! They used them outside in the tent, then took them home as party favors. Thanks to Katie Curtis for the fun idea:-)
